You upload a dataset.
The file is uploaded over TLS and stored under your account's private S3 prefix, encrypted at rest with AWS-managed keys. Customer-managed keys are available on enterprise plans.

You ask a question.
The prompt to the model carries schema, metadata, column types, and business context. Not raw rows. Row content stays in your account's storage and is only loaded when the generated query executes.

Chronicles generates the analysis.
The model returns a generated code. Execution is scoped to your account's data.
