This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains how cancellations, renewals, downgrades, and refunds work for paid Chronicles plans. It supplements the Chronicles Terms of Service.
1) Cancelling a Subscription
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the billing area of the Service, when available, or by contacting support@chronicles-ai.com.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your existing paid access remains active until the end of the current billing period unless your account is suspended for a Terms or Acceptable Use violation.
- Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your account or your stored content.
2) Renewals and Downgrades
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled.
- If you cancel or downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of the then-current billing term unless we expressly state otherwise.
- After a paid plan ends, your account may move to a lower tier with different limits for storage, uploads, features, or usage.
3) Refunds
- Subscription fees, credits, and other paid charges are generally non-refundable.
- We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods, unused time, or unused capacity unless required by law.
- We may provide a refund, account credit, or other remedy in our discretion for duplicate charges, clear billing errors, or other exceptional situations.
4) Failed or Late Payments
- If a renewal charge fails, we may retry the payment method on file.
- We may suspend paid features, reduce limits, or move your account to a lower tier if payment remains unsuccessful.
5) Price or Plan Changes
- We may update plan pricing, limits, or included features from time to time.
- When changes affect a recurring paid plan, they will apply to a future billing cycle after advance notice unless a different timing is required for legal, tax, or operational reasons.
