Cancellation and Refund Policy

How renewals, cancellations, downgrades, and refunds work for paid plans.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains how cancellations, renewals, downgrades, and refunds work for paid Chronicles plans. It supplements the Chronicles Terms of Service.

1) Cancelling a Subscription

  • You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the billing area of the Service, when available, or by contacting support@chronicles-ai.com.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals. Your existing paid access remains active until the end of the current billing period unless your account is suspended for a Terms or Acceptable Use violation.
  • Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your account or your stored content.

2) Renewals and Downgrades

  • Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled.
  • If you cancel or downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of the then-current billing term unless we expressly state otherwise.
  • After a paid plan ends, your account may move to a lower tier with different limits for storage, uploads, features, or usage.

3) Refunds

  • Subscription fees, credits, and other paid charges are generally non-refundable.
  • We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods, unused time, or unused capacity unless required by law.
  • We may provide a refund, account credit, or other remedy in our discretion for duplicate charges, clear billing errors, or other exceptional situations.

4) Failed or Late Payments

  • If a renewal charge fails, we may retry the payment method on file.
  • We may suspend paid features, reduce limits, or move your account to a lower tier if payment remains unsuccessful.

5) Price or Plan Changes

  • We may update plan pricing, limits, or included features from time to time.
  • When changes affect a recurring paid plan, they will apply to a future billing cycle after advance notice unless a different timing is required for legal, tax, or operational reasons.
